I am going to the eye doctor today and would like to know what eye contacts everyone is wearing (if you are wearing contacts) as well as what issues or preferences you have with eyewear.
My reading vision is continuing to get worse. Shocking I know.
I am currently wearing a monthly, multifocal contact and was provided a trial of daily disposable, multi focal contacts. The daily contacts I had high hopes for but I can’t even see out of them to be able to read. The monthly contacts are better vision wise but after about 6 hours they are extremely irritating/uncomfortable to wear.
i am interested in what suggestions, if any, my eye doctor will have today about my issues.
Additional note - I have multiple eye drops which I use and blinking rapidly does not make any significant difference.
I’m in multi-focal dailies (Alcon Total 1). I don’t have an issue with the comfort other than my eyes are really dry from other medication. I had my last eye appointment in March and the doctor prescribed Xiidra eye drops. It’s a good thing I have insurance and had a coupon from the manufacturer. My co-pay for a 90 day supply of drops would have been $120. I can’t imagine what it is without insurance. At that price they should not only moisten my eyes but correct my vision. I’m nearsighted, so without contacts I’m 20/20 for reading. My eye doc said 20/40 is acceptable in contacts. So, with contacts I still find I need readers for reading and using the computer. I miss my young eyes!
