We have all heard that you should have a little black dress in your wardrobe. The idea is that it is a versatile piece than can be dressed up for a night on the town or accessorized appropriately for work, special occasions or funerals.
Men can wear the same suit for every occasion and no one says a word. So, I was wondering just how many ways could I style one of my LBDs. Here is what I came up with.
I started with this Karen Kane Dress.
I adore this dress. The wrap style is classic while the length hits right above the knee and the 3/4 sleeve length is universally flattering. It is comfortable, washable and typically doesn’t need ironed. It also travels well. All of that makes it a perfect LBD.
Using different jackets, sweaters and jewelry I came up with all of these looks.
Tying scarfs differently can also change the look. Different shoe styles will also expand the number of looks such as simple black pumps, strappy heals, sandles or knee high boots.
I think this proves the right little black dress can be the most versatile piece in your wardrobe.
Now i I just need an event to attend!
